Lips without lipstick 💄are like cake without frosting 🎂

Hello Lovers, Today I'm reviewing an Indian cosmetic brand called Lakme. Lakme has been around for the longest time, it is one of the biggest cosmetic companies in India and one of the all time favorites as well. Many Indian older (aunty) women swear by this brand. A while back Lakme launched Lakme Absolute Matte Lipsticks and they quickly became popular. Mostly because of the quality of the product and of course the chic packaging of these lipsticks. I also love the fact that Lakme does entertain women of olive/tan/deeper skin tones with many of their lipstick shades and eyeshadows.

Product (Lipsticks):

As shown in the photo above, you can see a great variety of different lipsticks from Lakme's many collections. One of the collections being the Lakmé Absolute Matte range. This range is enriched with Vitamin E & Wheat Oil, which helps keeps your lips soft, smooth & silky with every application. Lakme states that this collection has a unique "Non-drying" formula.

There are amazing shades available in this range, nearly twenty of them. WOW! I am impressed by the smooth texture and amazing formula of these lipsticks. The pigmentation is definitely there...clearly. The gun metal packaging is sleek. As by the name of the collection, these lipsticks are absolutely matte, YAY!

Moving right along to one of the newest additions to the Lakme range is the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Matte Mousse Lip & Cheek Color. I'm personally really excited to see liquid lipsticks like this coming into the Indian market at such an affordable price. This range includes 10 shades for a variety of skin tones. Plus it feels like VELVET on my lips!

This is Lakme’s first lip and cheek color combo and the mousse texture feels weightless, giving a powdery matte finish to the lips and a soft blush to your cheeks. I find this range to be ideal for daily wear, since it is a bit more long lasting then the others. Its dual benefit makes it a high functional product for the busy everyday woman. Since it is a mousse textured formula, it absorbs into the lips, giving off an intense color that is long-lasting, the pigmentation is amazing which is a huge plus. The flat doe pointed foot applicator glides on seamlessly making it easy to apply, though not my favorite applicator choice. As far as the packaging goes for this range it's noting to write home about. I was a bit disappointed for the fact that the packing didn't show the actual shades themselves, which I personally love, because not everyone looks at the bottom to see the name or number they are picking up. Although I do love the fact that Lakme has started to name the individual shades instead of numbering them.

Did I mention that these have a lovely light vanilla scent to them. YUM!

The next range is the Lakme Absolute Argan Oil Lip. This is the newest launch from Lakme. This lipstick feels completely light weight even after 2-3 swipes across my lips. I didn't feel like I was wearing anything on my lips. Super moisturizing, thanks to its main ingredient, Argan oil. Infused with actual Moroccan argan oil, this lip color has the ultimate power to nourish your lips along with intense pigmentation. It has a creamy texture that delivers a smooth and silky finish. Available in 15 vibrant shades, the entire palette is suitable for all my darker skin toned ladies out there. The packaging comes in a typical Lakmé Absolute lipstick packaging except this time the color of the container is metallic gold instead of the signature metallic chrome, which I'm digging.

Ladies with this lipstick I would highly recommend that you blot away and set this with a loose setting powder for that extra long lasting power 👄

Another new release for this company is the “Illuminating Lip Shimmer” range. Lakme states this line will "deliver high color pay-off with a reflective shimmer finish."

First and foremost I want to talk about the "classy" black-colored plastic tube with sheer black casing and cap for the packaging choice for this range. I do want to mention although the cap has a translucent finish, I still couldn't detect the shade...which does make translucency pointless in this case.

The best part of this lipstick is that its loaded with silver glitter (my inner 12 year old is loving it). The glitter is neither too fine nor too gritty in my opinion. The "shimmers" are very finely milled into the lipstick giving it a gorgeous illuminating effect. It's the perfect summery lipstick range. The texture of this lipstick is buttery, soft and creamy. It is so smooth, it glides on effortlessly on the lips without any tug or pull and spreads evenly without any patchiness. Since this is more on the moisturizing side, the creamy formula of this lipstick makes it prone to transfer. If you're not eating heavily or drinking too much while wearing this then I say the lasting power is a decent period of time, approximately 5-6 hours, which is impressive for a creamy lipstick range 😘

Prices for all of these lipsticks range from 250-750 RS (Rupees) which is around $3.11-11.67. These are beyond reasonable in price if you ask me and definitely worth trying if you can get your hands on them (though if buying from an online retailer they will cost significantly more in price due to import taxes).

Product ( Blush & Bronzer):

Glow to the gods with this beautiful "Illuminating Shimmer Brick" ✨😍✨ I love the colors which have been incorporated into this shimmer brick! For someone who is darker in skin tone this is just stunning on the skin I ended up getting the color "coral" instead of "pink". Coral is a darker blush then pink and suits me much better. This is a blush which has shimmer imbedded into it. I find that it's more shine (highlight) then color, which I'm ok with actually.

I did notice that this was a little chalky compared to the other blushes (pic below) , more fall out was visible when used with a brush. All in all, it layers nicely and blends easily.

Price for this is 544 RS (Rupees) which is around $8.44. Which is beyond reasonable in price and definitely worth trying if you can get your hands on it (though if buying from an online retailer they will cost significantly more in price due to import taxes).

Perfect summer essentials! I find lakme makeup to be very pigmented and creamy in texture, which is a huge plus when blending everything out 👍🏽

I ended up getting 2 blushes and 1 duo bronzer. The first swatch on my arm is the first blush I picked up in the color "Rose crush" 🌹 (This can also be used as a bronzer in my opinion for all my darker girls out there). The second and third swatches on my arm are from the second blush I picked up, which is a duo colored blush called "Pink blush". The colors in the photo appear to be very similar but I assure you that they are different in shades. But pair wonderfully together or alone. The last two swatches on my arm are from the bronzer which I picked up called "Bronzer". 'Aren't these names just so creative" lol. This again is also a duo shade product, which is ridiculously pigmented and when I say a little goes a long way, I MEAN IT!

These are beyond reasonable in price if you ask me and definitely worth trying if you can get your hands on them (though if buying from an online retailer they will cost significantly more in price due to import taxes).

Remember these are not considered "drugstore" products even with that amazing price tag. These are higher end and you can see that in the quality and packaging!

Even Bebo would agree these lipsticks are Amazing....but then again she is the brand ambassador for the company lol
